Tom Cruise banned from filming in Germany

Germany has barred Tom Cruise and the producers of Valkyrie, a movie about a plot to kill Adolf Hitler from filming scenes at German military sites because of Cruise's beliefs in Scientology. The German government does not recognize the Church of Scientology as a church, claiming it masquerades as a religion to make money. Cruise is set to play real life colonel Claus con Stauffenberg, who led an unsuccessful attempt to assassinate Hitler with a bomb in his briefcase in July, 1944. A spokesperson for Germany's Ministry of Defense said the producers "will not be allowed to film at German military sites if Count Stauffenberg is played by Tom Cruise, who has publicly professed to being a member of the Scientology cult... In general, the [German military] has a special interest in the serious and authentic portrayal of the events of July 20, 1944 and Stauffenberg's person."

Paris Hilton left jail Tuesday after a bizarre, three-week stay in which the hotel heiress was briefly released to her Hollywood Hills home, then sent screaming and crying back to a county lockup.

The 26-year-old celebutante walked out of the all-women's jail in Lynwood to an enormous horde of cameras and reporters after midnight. She had checked into the jail, largely avoiding the spotlight, late June 3 after a surprise appearance at the MTV Movie Awards.

Hilton smiled as she left the jail, her blond hair pulled back in a braided ponytail. Her parents, Kathy and Rick, met her in a black SUV as cameras snapped pictures and Hilton, wearing a sage jacket with white trim over a white shirt and skinny jeans, did not respond to reporters' questions.

She didn't say anything, and it wasn't immediately clear where she was going.

"She fulfilled her debt. She was obviously in good spirits. She thanked people as she left," said sheriff's spokesman Steve Whitmore.

Hilton will complete her probation in March 2009 as long as she keeps her driver's license current and doesn't break any laws. She can reduce that time by 12 months if she does community service that could include a public-service announcement, the city attorney's office has said.

The 'Sin City' star loves to drink at parties, but is concerned people may get the wrong impression about her.

Rosario said: "I do like to party, I can't pretend I don't.

"I do like a drink on occasions. I'm not much of a liquor person, I'll just drink beer or wine all day, but I don't want people to think I'm an alcoholic.

"I learned to knock it back professionally when I was shooting 'Alexander'. Those guys can drink!"

'Alexander' also starred Hollywood hellraiser Colin Farrell, Val Kilmer, Christopher Plummer, Angelina Jolie and reformed alcoholic Sir Anthony Hopkins

Rosario also revealed her Sunday ritual consists of going to an exercise class, then drinking beer all day at her favourite bar with friends and applauding as the sun goes down.

She said: "That's how I celebrate Sunday."

Los Angeles - The world's No. 1 golfer Tiger Woods said he was delighted with the birth of his baby girl Monday and that mother and daughter were doing just fine.

Woods and wife, Elin, named the new cub and first born Sam Alexis Woods. The little darling was born one day after Father's Day and a few hours after Woods finished tied for second, just one shot back of winner Angel Cabrera at the 2007 US Open championship.

"Both Elin and Sam are doing well and resting peacefully," Woods wrote. "We want to thank our doctors and the hospital staff for all their dedicated and hard work.

Who really is the best rapper alive?

After setting the streets ablaze with controversial comments about Jay-Z, The Clipse, Young Buck and Pharrell in the December/January issue of Complex magazine, Lil’ Wayne recently called in to DJ Absolut’s Hot 97 show in an attempt to temper his words.

During the 7-minute interview, Weezy addresses comments he made to Complex about Jay-Z.

“I don’t like what he’s saying about how he had to come back because hip-hop’s dead and we need him. It’s not your house anymore, and I’m better than you,” Lil’ Wayne told the magazine.

When asked to explain, Lil Wayne explained that he didn’t like the concept that Jay-Z’s comeback album was built upon the notion that Hip-Hop is dead.

“I think I speak for everybody when I say it’s not dead as long as I’m still dropping albums,” Lil’ Wayne told DJ Absolut.

Wayne also disclosed that some of the comments stem from the brief courtship between him and Roc-A-Fella last year when he his weighing his label re-signing options.

“I want people to just look at it like that dude who came out of college that was supposed to get drafted by the #1 team, which was Roc-A-Fella/Def Jam,” stated Wayne. “They passed on me and now I with a good team and a good coach and of course on every interview I’m gonna cut down the team that didn’t pick me.

The self-proclaimed “best rapper alive since the best rapper retired” apparently has revised his position. Lil’ Wayne also stuck to his position that he is a better rapper than Jay-Z.

“I’m better than this game,” Lil’ Wayne declared. “We could be having this conversation about any other person in this game. It was who I was asked about at this time. Yall trying to build a case on me. But I tell you what. If you build a case against me and take me to trial, I will beat it.”

In addition to Jay Z, Wayne also had choice words for The Clipse and Pharrell saying, “”I don’t see no f—ing Clipse. How many years them n— been around? Who the f— is Pharrell? Do you really respect him?”

Upon hearing his comments, The Clipse took to the airwaves in WWHV Hot 102.1 FM in Virginia to respond to an already tense situation.

“Wayne, you sort of copying The Clipse right now,” Pusha T told DJ Derrick Da Franchise. “I think he made a bad judgment call and just decided to take a swipe at us…maybe he’s got an album coming out. This is a small thing to a giant, he’s just acting out.”

“If anything, I am upset about him using the F word before my name, being as though he likes to sit around and kiss men. If you gonna kiss men, you can’t even use them words in conjunction with The Clipse, Pharrell, or any of the [Star Trak ] family. He’s definitely acting out right now. Jay-Z? Do what you gotta do. But involve The Clipse? You don’t want to do that. I already don’t look at him like a G. He aint nothing like me.”

The results are in: Eddie Murphy is definitely the father of Melanie Brown's 2-month-old daughter Angel. The former Spice Girl received the results of Murphy's DNA test yesterday afternoon. "He's the baby's father, it's official," says a source close to Brown. "The baby is undoubtedly, 110% his... There was no doubt in people's minds anyway, least of all hers. It wasn't a surprise to her. She knew all along." Murphy's rep declined to comment.
Now hopefully she will take him to court and get all that Shrek money!
